With one more season of Game of Thrones wrapped up, the fans are now in a year-long process of not really knowing what to do. It happens every year, but we all know that next April, our heroes and villains are back with more excitement. However this may only last until 2018.

the end is near

Creators of Game of Thrones, D.B. Weiss and David Benioff, have revealed that the show is fast approaching its end. As they told Deadline:

“From pretty close to the beginning, we talked about doing this in 70-75 hours, and that’s what we’ll end up with. (…) Call it 73 for now.”- David Benioff

That means that since the season six finale was the 60th episode, there’s only thirteen more episodes left. We’ve all know for sometime that the next two season will only have 7 episodes per season, which means we will only have two more short season of GOT.

This is massive for the die-hard fans. There’s a lot to wrap up in the show, and that can only mean that the final seasons will be explosive if they want to tie every loose end before the end.

We still cannot believe that the end is near.

However rumours have been growing that HBO is looking into developing a Game of Thrones spinoff show, telling the story of Ned Stark and Robert Baratheon’s rebellion. If that’s the case we will be more relieved, however as it happens with prequels, they usually disappoint since we already know the ending.

In any case GOT fans, enjoy the last two seasons of the show. For now…
